Comparative studies on check-bite and central-bearing-point method for the remounting of complete dentures

Thirty-six complete dentures were remounted both with check-bite as well as central-bearing-point (CBP) registration. The mandibular or denture position was registered in the condylar area three times with each method. Two independent operators carried out the registrations. One half of patients had their occlusion equilibrated according to the check-bite registration, the other half in the central-bearing-point position. A comprehensive analysis of vaulted bodies involves the study of the multiple components necessary for their definition: geometric configuration construction system historical-geographical area of belonging interpretations Stylistic. The objective of this study is directed to the 'analysis of continuous vaults on a centric plan definable through the laws of Euclidean geometry. The investigation arises within the boundaries related to their geometric configuration and the criterion adopted freed from typological or stylistic classifications proposes the identification of geometric families based on the figure of the basic polygon of the plant. Condylar position indicator and T-scan system II in clinical evaluation of temporomandibular intracapsular disease.

The pathogenesis of temporomandibular joint intracapsular disease (TMJI) is multifactorial and its diagnosis is not easy. In this work authors show two types of clinical analysis: the Condylar Position Indicator (CPI) and T-Scan 2 system.Twenty patients (mean age of 24.5 years) with TMJI problem and 10 healthy matched subjects (mean age: 25.4 years) were selected.
